DAY 1, FRIDAY - Sunset Convertible Classic Cars Tour
Arrive in Havana around noon, after clearing Immigrations and Customs your driver will be waiting for you outside the terminal. Once in Havana driver will take you to check-in into your accommodations. In the early evening your group will be picked up by a fleet of Convertible Classic Cars for an unforgettable Sunset sightseeing tour of Havana, with a stop at Hotel Nacional for mojitos in the gardens overlooking the Malecon. Then of to dinner in the terrace of paladar El Cocinero one of Havana’s newest restaurants; and conclude the night next door at Fabrica del Arte (The Art Factory), an avant-garde new art venue that is the home to everything art: theater, jazz, contemporary dance, and exhibitions. DAY 2, SATURDAY - City Tour in Convertible Classic Car Tour Old Havana and Walking tour of Old Havana & Salsa Dancing Classes
After breakfast, you are ready for a 3 hours’ unforgettable city tour in a convertible classic car. During the tour, you will ride along the seaside boardwalk - El Malecón. After visiting modern Havana and admiring the fabulous architecture in the neighborhoods of Vedado, and Miramar with stops at Plaza de la Revolucion and Bosque de la Habana. We are on our way to Old Havana the historic neighborhood that date back as far as the 16th century and admire the baroque buildings that characterized Spanish colonial architecture, and concludes with a walking tour through the main streets and squares Old Havana: Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, Plaza Vieja, and Plaza de la Catedral. Then it’s lunch time and you are free until 5 pm. At 5:00 pm you need to be back at your home to start your 1 hour Salsa Dancing Classes. We recommend lunch at La Vitrola and then visit Almacenes de San Jose, Old Havana largest arts & crafts market. Evening is Free to have dinner on your own and explore Havana’s night life. (B) We recommend going to dinner at La Guarida, and the going dancing to put into practice what you learn.
DAY 3, SUNDAY - Rum Tour
After breakfast you are free until you meet your guide at Museo del Ron (the Museum of Rum) at 11:00 to start you guided tour of the rum museum that culminates with a tasting of Havana Club, which is one of Cuba’s most well-known rums, and it is ideal for making classic Cuban cocktails like mojitos and daiquiris. After completing the museum part of the tour, go bar hopping to a couple of Havana’s emblematic bars, that rose to international fame during US Prohibition and experience Hemingway’s famous quote “My mojito en La Bodeguita, my daiquiri in El Floridita.” La Bodeguita and Flordita are both stops on the tour, and you can decide if you agree with the famous author’s assessment of their specialty cocktails. Then you are free we recommend visiting Callejon de Hamel to see the Rumba Dancers and having a late lunch at paladar Vistamar. Callejon de Hamel is a narrow two-block long alley in Centro Habana, created by artist Salvador Gonzalez that has become a shrine to Afro-Cuban religions lined with brightly-colored paintings, murals, sculptures and objects, which depict rituals and deities. Also, rumba groups play here every Sunday. At 8 pm for farewell dinner at paladar Atelier. (B,D)
